Indivisible Highland Park is a local chapter of the Indivisible Project, launched in September of 2025. We represent residents of Chicago’s North Shore suburbs—including Highland Park, Highwood, Deerfield, Glencoe, and surrounding communities.
Together with thousands of volunteer-led Indivisible groups across the country, we are pushing back against right-wing extremism and remaking our democracy through grassroots organizing, civic participation, and coalition-building.
Indivisible Highland Park brings community members together to elevate local voices, hold elected leaders accountable at every level, and support progressive policies to build a more just and equitable future for all.
DEMOCRACY: We believe in a government that represents the people and is accountable to the people—where every voice matters and every vote counts.
JUSTICE: We advocate for racial, economic, environmental, and social justice, and for policies that promote opportunity, equity, and dignity for all. We respect the US Constitution and the rule of law—and we demand the same from our elected officials.
UNITY: We believe that we are stronger together. We work to build coalitions, foster understanding, and welcome diverse perspectives in our efforts to achieve collective action.
ACTION: We are committed to peaceful, nonviolent action. We act with urgency, courage, and persistence to confront injustice and protect our rights, freedoms, and communities. We believe in showing up collectively, strategically, and peacefully. Read Indivisible’s commitment to nonviolence.
TRUTH: We are dedicated to countering misinformation and to promoting verifiable facts. We demonstrate honesty and integrity in our communications and actions—and we demand the same from our elected officials.
