About

Indivisible Highland Park is a local chapter of the Indivisible Project, representing Chicago’s North Shore suburbs—including Highland Park, Highwood, Deerfield, and surrounding communities.

Together with thousands of volunteer-led Indivisible groups across the country, we are pushing back against right-wing extremism and remaking our democracy through grassroots organizing, civic participation, and coalition-building.

We work to elevate local voices, hold elected leaders accountable at every level, and support progressive policies to build a more just, equitable, and inclusive future for all.

Core Values

Democracy | We believe in government that represents and is accountable to the people—where every voice matters and every vote counts.

Justice | We advocate for racial, economic, environmental, and social justice, and for policies that promote opportunity, equity, and dignity for all.

Unity | We believe that we are stronger together. We strive to build coalitions, foster understanding, and welcome diverse perspectives in our efforts to achieve collective action.

Action | We are committed to peaceful, nonviolent action. We act with urgency, courage, and persistence to confront injustice and protect our rights, freedoms, and communities. We believe in showing up firmly, strategically, and peacefully.

Truth | We are dedicated to countering misinformation and promoting verifiable facts. We value honesty, integrity, and respect for the rule of law in our communications and actions—and we demand the same from our elected officials.
